KidLit Grove Recap: Highlights from June 2025
June highlights and July’s sneak peek — quick links, top posts, and what’s coming next.
When I first began this journey, I just wanted to share my ideas with the world, and I crossed my fingers that someone would read them. I truly can’t express how grateful I am that this community has doubled in the month of June.
Thank you for not only welcoming my words into your inboxes, but for liking these ideas enough to subscribe, stick around, and see what’s coming next.
As we turn the page on another month, I’d love to share a few things that have been growing around here — from our most-read posts to a little peek at what’s coming next.
Here’s a roundup of June’s highlights.

Looking Forward to July
Releasing July 1st: Chain Reaction — Life In Balance
Students will dive into an interdisciplinary adventure with our newest STEAM unit. Centered around concepts from the picture book Creep, Leap, Crunch by Jody Jensen Shaffer and Christoper Silas Neal, students explore key relationships within ecosystems, from food chains and energy flow to the ripple effects of environmental change.
Through hands-on activities, students will:
Build living food webs and simulate energy transfers
Design 3D ecosystem dioramas
Engineer Rube Goldberg chain reactions to model interdependence within ecosystems
Propose real-world solutions to environmental disruptions
Next Series for Parents & Caregivers: Communication
Through storytelling, pretend play, and even a touch of camping, we’ll begin to explore how young children can find and share their voices confidently through art, music, and of course…stories.
Thanks again for being here. If you ever feel like sharing what’s on your mind, I’d love to hear from you.
Warmly,
Lindsay
